Return to Wildflower of NE Ohio Homepage

Each year, when the days start to lengthen, I spend hours in the field watching the season unfold through the plant life of our region. Sometimes I even learn their names and take their pictures, and here's the result: a sampling of the spring wild-flowers from northeast Ohio, mostly from the Rocky River valley on the west side of Cleveland.

I'll be keeping a running WebLog as the year progresses, with reports of what's blooming as well as additions to the site. If you notice any inaccuracies in the information presented here, I'd appreciate feedback.

This index is by common name; there is also an index sorted by family. There is also a page of Additional Information, including more information about the area, a short bibliography, and additional wildflower links.
