- Flower: Tiny White flowers in dense umbels, 5 petals,
reddish-brown anthers
- Leaves: usually one or two, alternate, divided into
narrow segments.
- Size: Flower heads 1/2" across; plant 2-6" high
in bloom
- Habitat: Open woods
- Blooms: March
One of the very earliest spring flowers. The stem is thick and
reddish; leaves are not always evident when blooming.
