  • Flower: Terminal cluster,each flower 5-petaled, indented at tip, joined 1/2 way down into a tube
  • Leaves: opposite, lance-shaped, clasping hairy stem
  • Size: Flowers 1-1.5" across; plant 6-24" high in bloom
  • Habitat: bright woods
  • Blooms: April-June

Flower color varies from blue to lilac to pinkish-white.
