Rue Anemone
Anemonella thalictroides

  • Flower: White or pinkish-tinged, sepals 5-10, petal-like (true petals lacking). 1" wide; stamens and pistils numerous.
  • Leaves: Whorl of beneath flower cluster, with 3 blunt lobes. Basal and stem leaflets to 1" wide, ovate, in groups of 3 with 3 rounded lobes.
  • Height: Height: 4-8".
  • Habitat: Open woods.
  • Blooms: April-June.

The gently-rounded lobes of it's 3-leaflet compound leaf, and a more delicate appearance, distinguish it from its cousin False Rue Anemone.
