Squirrel Corn
Dicentra canadensis

  • Flower: White flowers in unbranched racemes, 4 petals, the 2 outer ones spurred. Spurs short and rounded. 1/2"-3/4" long.
  • Leaves: Basal leaves only, divided. Smooth, bluegrey, delicate.

Leaves and habitat are very similar to Dutchmen's Breeches; the tubers are reported to resemble corn kernals, which accounts for its common name.
