Cut-leaved Toothwort
Dentaria laciniata

  • Flower: Terminal clusters of white or pink 4-petaled flowers, 3/4" wide; on an erect stem.
  • Leaves: Opposite, 2-5" wide, deeply cleft, sharply toothed, in whorls of 3 above midstem.
  • Height: 6-16"
  • Habitat: Moist low woodlands and damp thickets.
  • Blooms: March-April

Early spring bloomers, the common name refers to the tooth-like projections on the underground stems.
