Cut-leaved Toothwort
Dentaria laciniata
- Flower: Terminal clusters of white or pink 4-petaled flowers,
3/4" wide; on an erect stem.
- Leaves: Opposite, 2-5" wide, deeply cleft, sharply toothed,
in whorls of 3 above midstem.
- Height: 6-16"
- Habitat: Moist low woodlands and damp thickets.
- Blooms: March-April
Early spring bloomers, the common name refers to the tooth-like
projections on the underground stems.
